This was my first undertaking to add charm and warmth to a blank hallway wall. This wall Cactus Mosaic, desert scene area, was put together with cactus and flowers made of pottery, broken dishes and found objects as well as rocks, stones and etc. I made what I could and what I didn’t make I found and made it work.
The sequence of pictures are the making of the pottery cacti and flowers, the layout on a table, then I applied cacti and ground area to the wall. I decided it needed more height and added ocotillo shrubs out of broken plates, then pottery flowers.
Then I completed the desert scene with grout.
