Alice’s Teapot came about when I came across this small coffee pot in a second hand store and thought it would be an interesting piece to mosaic with a touch of an Alice in Wonderland theme, mostly being the rabbit and odd found objects added in. I applied the broken plate pieces and pearls from a necklace to the pot in a small pattern and then added on the found objects. I grouted around all the pieces. I glued the rabbit to the top of the clear glass top. The pot itself has a coffee basket that is perched inside so I can actually use the pot to place jewelry or other precious finds into it.
